Ana Sanchez is an actor, poet, and playwright whose work is brave, raw and unflinching. Her favorite roles include Laura in The Glass Menagerie, Sister Aloysius in Doubt, and Sonia in Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike. Ana has also performed spoken word poetry at numerous events throughout southern California and served as co-lyricist on the acclaimed album “Caged Bird” by Chelsea Davis.

In her other life and work, she is a committed social justice advocate for victims of sexual exploitation and has been a sought-after facilitator for groups committed to racial reconciliation. Through her work with these difficult issues, Ana has developed a keen ability to hold the complex tensions present in every situation, which brings a richness to her acting craft that is wholly unique. Her intellectual curiosity and enormous capacity for empathy and realism continued to be developed in her study for the MFA in Acting for Classical and Contemporary Text at The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, which she received in 2022. She is currently working on several projects, including a play written as part of the Ink Project New Voices program.

As a gifted arbiter of human truth, Ana finds her joy in challenging roles, where she can bring her depth of life experience to play. She has an intense work ethic, a desire for excellence, humility, and the ability to dive deep into the life of another.
